Is Group Treatment Right for Me?
Group Treatment is often the treatment of choice for people who experience:
- Troubled Friendships and Relationships
- Loneliness or Alienation from Others
- Grief Issues
- Trust Issues
- Low Self-Esteem
- Unresolved Anger
- Depression
- Anxiety
Group Treatment is a setting in which 6-8 members work together to:
- Identify and Explore Feelings
- Give and Receive Support
- Learn Alternative Behaviors
- Feel Like They Are Not Alone
- Change Unhealthy Patterns in Relationships
- Give and Receive Constructive Feedback
- Develop New Ways of Relating to Others
- Be Understood by Others
In Case of Emergency:
Please do not rely on e-mail for help in a crisis or emergency situation. If you are in a crisis, please come to the University Counseling Center at 123 Aylesworth Hall (or call 491-6053) during business hours. After hours, call 491-7111 and request to speak with the Counseling Center on-call therapist.
Group Coordinator: Dr.
